The most victorious goalkeeper in Maldives, Imran Mohamed(Imma) has revealed that his current team, New Radiant sports club has not been paying his monthly salary accordingly.

Through his recent Facebook post he has said that he has not been paid according to the agreement with New Radiant sports club despite talking with the management several times. So he have requested to the football Association of Maldives on the 3rd of October 2018 to further look into this matter. Imran believes that his supporters need to know about the situation and he hopes that the matter will be clarified as soon as possible.

Regarding this, New Radiant Sports Club's General Secretary Ahmed Niyaz(Ted) said that the club is trying to solve the situation and pay the salaries in a near future. He also said that the issue is not only about goalkeeper Imran, also other players have delays receiving their salary. And this is due to the financial situation of the club. Former Afghanistan player in New Radiant sports club, Zohib Islam Ameeri also left the club in Male' League, Although the club claims he had other issues, Amiri claimed it was due to salary and other issues.

Due to financial crisis many clubs are unable to pay their players. Teams representing different islands in the Premier League are also facing difficulties in paying salaries. Due to similar reasons Victory Sports Club did not turn up for their match against TC sports club in The Premier League. Other teams in the league are also facing financial issues. One of the reasons is that the league has now extended by two extra months.
