Riley (Rilwan Waheed) has had successful knee surgery and is on the road to recovery.

Maldives International Riley had an torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in training with his club, New Radiant Sports Club. Former Victory Vice Captain Riley had the surgery done in the Maldives. He is on the road to recovery though it is too early to know exactly when he will be back on the pitch.

Riley had thanked well known Surgeon Dr Hussain Shakeel and ADK Hospital on his Facebook page.

The New Radiant defender is one of Maldives finest right backs at the moment. Right back by trade, Riley also played as an attacking midfielder for Victory Sports Club. Riley is a utility player, who can operate in any position. Riley was invited for a trial by Sur Sports of Oman in August, New Radiant's high transfer fee demand foiled Riley's move abroad. Riley returned to New Radiant before he was injured in training.
