Sentey penalty gives New Radiant a 1-0 win over brave Nilandhoo in last night Premier League clash.

New perhaps the slightly better team as both teams playing cautiously in the early exchanges. Ali Fasir(Sentey) finally broke the deadlock in the 29th minute through a penalty. Sentey sent a powerful penalty right in the top corner to give New Radiant 1-0 lead. Foul by Habilla Marlle on Sentey in the area gave away the penalty.

New Radiant pressed on in the second half, the game ended 1-0 in their favor. 

"we didn't come here to keep the score down, whatever the team maybe, New Radiant or not, we at Nilandhoo came here to do our best" said Nilandhoo coach Adam Abdul Latheef. Sobah Mohamed said every team will do extra against us, "We are the Defending Champions. For example in our game Victory, they did very well, but earlier today they weren't as good against Green Streets, they played very easy" said Sobah talking to the press after the win over Nilandhoo.

The win takes New Radiant back to the second spot level on points with Club Eagles. Though both the teams has 17 points, New Radiant has a more superior goal difference. Nilandhoo in 7th place has 7 points, one more than Victory Sports Club.
