Mohamed Samir helps TC down Foakaidhoo 5-1 in the Premier League game last night.

Foakaidhoo started strongly against TC. Foakaidhoo had the best chance in the early minutes when Hassan Sufianu arrived just outside the box unmarked. TC scored in the 13th minute when the ball was deflected by a Foakaidhoo defender into the path of Ibrahim Muhudhee Hussain (Feydhoo Ibbe), The Maldivian International did not miss as he placed the ball past Saqib Hanif. Five minutes from halftime, Mohamed Samir scored when TC counter attacked from a corner. Foakaidhoo defender was easily beaten and the goalkeeper left exposed.

Less than ten minutes into the second half, Samir doubled his tally to kill all hopes for Foakaidhoo. Few minutes later a penalty was awarded to TC for Sayed Mahmoud's (Ramos) foul on Dhagandey (Ali Ashfaq) in the box. Samir stepped up, his penalty was saved by Saqib Hanif, who could not stop Samir from scoring his hattick from the rebound.

Foakaidhoo pushed forward, missing few chances. TC again scored twenty minutes later when Ramos failed to pass back to the goalkeeper. Dhagandey muscled past Ramos and another Foakaidhoo defender before scoring TC's 5th goal.

Substitute Ahmed Usam (Kalhoo) blasted in a consolation goal for Foakaidhoo in the dying minutes. Khalil Gamal's through ball found Jailam Mohamed (Oggy) who crossed the ball low to Kalhoo to score Foakaidhoo's goal.

The win brings TC Sports closer to their first Premier League title. TC now has 33 points, five more than Maziya at second place.
